Loretto Sister Mary Luke Tobin, one of only 15 women invited to attend Vatican II, died August 24, 2006. She was an outspoken advocate for the laity, especially women religious, and was known as a source of unrelenting hope that “unity, justice, and peace will eventually reign among God’s people.” Read more about her here.
